Rear longitudinal control arms:

I will say right away that the original Subaru silent blocks last approximately 150,000 kilometers. After replacing the silent blocks with LYNX, they lasted approximately 100,000 kilometers, but considering the price, I am satisfied with the LYNX silent blocks. The original part numbers for both the left and right control arms are: 20254XA03A - inner, 20254XA04A middle (the one to which the strut is attached), 20257XA000 floating, which is pressed into the wheel hub. LYNX replacement part numbers - B8041 - inner, B8040 middle (the one to which the strut is attached), B8035 floating, which is pressed into the wheel hub.
All bushings in the control arms can be conveniently re-pressed at home using a set

When re-pressing bushings in the control arms, you need to place a dense metal object between the sides of the arm; you can select a socket that fits the size. This will prevent the arm from deforming during removal and installation, and the bushings will move smoothly without sticking:

Carefully remove the middle bushing 20254XA04A (the one to which the strut is attached). It can only be removed and installed in one direction, the one with the larger diameter. Also, the mark in the form of a rubber protrusion must face the inner side of the arm:
A floating silent block that is pressed into the wheel hub.
The replacement of silent block 20257XA000 (B8035) is performed without removing the hub using a re-pressing kit.

If you are installing a LYNX silent block, I recommend removing both dust boots from both sides, adding lubricant (silicone or grease, absolutely not Lithol) to the side of the silent block that we press into the hub (the more rounded side of the silent block), and install the dust boot only on this side. Then select a die and press in the silent block. After pressing, add lubricant to the other side of the silent block and put on the dust boot. With this sequence of actions, the silent block will be correctly pressed in without damaging the dust boot and with a sufficient amount of lubricant, considering that factory new silent blocks have very little lubricant.
When installing the control arm in place, do not tighten the nuts completely. After threading the nuts on, jack up the wheel hub until the control arms assume their working position, meaning the vehicle must be fully supported by the jack under the hub. Only after this should you tighten all the control arm nuts (be careful! Place supports under the vehicle body to prevent any issues in case the jack slips out from under the hub). The nuts on all control arms of the hub must only be tightened when the suspension strut springs are in their working (compressed) state.
